Growing Up And Learning

Life will never be same if you have something to do about it. When you know your life to be in at a certain level, the only thing that can change that level is when you do something about it. It is up to you to shape the path life takes you. We are so quick to blame certain circumstances in our lives that we forget that at the end of the day it is up to us. It is true that we are faced with trials and tribulations, but it is what we do about the trials and tribulations that we face that makes the difference. Once I read a phrase which said; if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Growing up and Learning

We have a duty in life to live to our potential. We can only do that if we focus on achieving it in the first place. Every one of us has an expected end; it all depends on how we tackle the things that happen in between that determines if we will be able to meet our expected end. As we grow up we learn skills that are meant to help us in life. We learn to talk, we learn to walk, to run, to write and to love. Growing up is a continuous process yet we forget that learning should be a continuous process as it is part of growing up. Somewhere in our lives we stop learning things like talking and walking thinking we have done all the talking and walking we will need in the rest of our lives. We will only be surprised when we find ourselves faced with an interview we cannot talk our way out of or a distance we cannot walk our way past. It is amazing that up to this day (you might be 20, 30 or 50 years old) you still learn new words and you still learn new things.

Growing up and learning should never be separated because one cannot happen without the other. There might be an addition to the number of years you are on earth but if there is nothing learnt in that you are not growing up. It is true that when we are young we tend to develop physically faster than when we are older, it is the same with learning. As our development physically slows down so does our learning. One thing is true development in a normal human being does not come to a screeching halt and our learning should not be like that as well. Never stop believing in yourself and believing in the difference you can give to this world. As long as there is an ounce of breath in your life there is an opportunity to make that difference and achieve your expected end. Age is just a number but growing up comes with a lot of learning.
